Stockton Professional Network

Membership Requirements

Membership
The active membership of the Network shall be composed of occupations listed on the official membership category list.  A member may control only one such occupation.  There may only be one member per category.

Prospective members  must attend two meetings, within one month, and are required to submit an application for membership along with dues of $50.00. If the application is denied the check will be returned.  If the member is accepted, the dues are non-refundable.  A vote will not be taken until the dues are paid.

The prospective member will be given an application and copy of the by-laws on his or her first visit if he or she is interested in membership.  The Network shall vote following receipt of the completed application.  The prospective member may not attend the meeting the week his or her application is being voted on.

If two candidates from the same category are interested in membership, there will be a “speak off.”  Each candidate will be given the opportunity to present his or her category.  The following week, after receipt of their application and dues, the Network will vote on which of the candidates will be approved for membership.

A two-thirds vote of the members is required for a prospective member to be accepted.  Any single no vote must be explained.  The Membership Chair shall notify the candidate of acceptance or denial of membership.

Any member who because of personal or business reasons cannot comply with the attendance requirements set forth herein may submit a written application to the Board for up to a 90 day leave of absence no more than once per year.  The Board, in its discretion, shall either approve or reject any such application at its next regularly scheduled (or specially called) meeting duly noticed.

Leads

Leads may be inside leads (a direct lead from a Network member to another Network member who requires the member’s service), or outside leads (a direct lead from a Network member to another Network member for someone outside the Network who requires the member’s services) or general leads.

Each member is required to provide six leads per quarter.  If that quota is not achieved, a letter will be sent to remind the member of the commitment made to the Network when the member joined.  If a member fails to provide any leads for sufficient time, in the sole discretion of the Board, then the Board may ask the Network members to vote on revocation of the member.

Lead forms will be provided to all members and must be filled out and distributed at the weekly meetings to qualify as a lead.  Leads are for the use of the Network only and not for any other club a member may attend.
